We have turned 35 year old

We celebrated our 35th Birthday on Saturday the 11th February 2012, at our club rooms with a lunch with members and quests, which went off very well.

Joyce Baker, Pat Armstrong, Dorothy Stevens, Lorraine Barber and Helen Stumkat cutting our 35th birthday cake. Joyce is a foundation member, and the others are long term members who are still active members with the club.

Toowoomba Spinners, Weavers and Dyers Group was formed by a small number of women in 1977. Membership in 2010 stands at over 80 and includes men and women from several age groups. While spinning was the initial interest the organisation now also includes smaller groups of weavers, and felters.

The group is affiliated with the Queensland S.W.& D. Group in Brisbane.
