ice dyeing

Above is a pair of pedal pushers, ice dyed by Sanneke at our camp this year. She colours that she used are cerulean blue, violet and aubergine.

Ice Dyeing makes really great patterns on the fabric or yarn. See the Gallery page for a close up of Sanneke's pants.

Community Events

The members of our Club also demonstrate our crafts, and provide tuition at Community Events when asked.

Exhibitions - Sales and Demonstrations

Our Club has many regular exhibitions throughout the year, where our members are able to sell their work. During these exhibitions we also demonstrate our crafts to the public, to let them see what these crafts entail.

Our Weekend Camp, "Woolly Winter Weekend in June" is cover for this year. We had a great group of campers and day visitors attend, and really wonderful weather (a bit damp final morning for packing up, but not cold).

The workshops went off well, and were well attended, as well as all the lovely shops, from which we were able to add to our stash.

silk knitting

Above are some of the campers attending a silk knitting workshop with Sue, which taught how to knit using an unspun silk hankie. Amazing results.

Trips away

The Club organises bus trips during the year to events that interest Club members. We attend evdents like the Brisbane Spinners, Weavers & Fibre Artists Open Day, and Redlands Open Day.
